LEADING IN CRISIS WORKSHOP:
How to deal with The Challenges of Staff Reductions
As the fallout from the economic crisis continues, layoffs and staff reductions have increased dramatically in organizations. Leaders are required to deal not only with the mechanics of reducing staff, but also with the reactions of people to changes in their working lives. In layoffs, most organizational resources are applied to those losing their jobs. This workshop focuses on the leaders and staff left behind – the survivors.
In the workshop, we explore a model that describes how staff reductions impact employees, and work through a five-step process people experience when dealing with such a significant change. We also recommend specific action steps for the organization’s leadership team. Human Resource professionals, executives and line mangers aware of this process will be in a better position to help their employees cope with staff reductions while still achieving organizational goals and objectives.
Practical Negotiation Skills™
Designed for the seasoned sales person, this workshop focuses on negotiation skills and techniques that ensure high quality agreements while building customer relationships. By focusing on real customer situations, participants explore how to develop a negotiating strategy and to select and use the most appropriate tactics. In addition, they develop creative ways to exchange currencies other than price/rate to reach a win/win outcome.
